Villa d'Alesia

( sound designer, foley artist, mixer, communication agency sound studio manager ) 1988 - 1990

I begin to work to Villa d'Alesia after my experience in Labeo-Music. While selling door-to-door this society to spread the worldwide deWolfe music catalog, I discover this ant-hill production. I still don't know yet the advertising agencies atmosphere. William Perkins and Dominique Fargeot ( next Idee Futur manager ) trust me. An electrical period begins for me. I get acquainted with studio technic and insure more and more all the agency sound creation. During almost two years I work "night and day" with numerous directors and for prestigious advertisers ( cf. List of the Professional Way   )...

I build about 200 soundtapes in the Villa d'Alesia studio, for advertising, institutional films, entertainment (Zenith, Futuroscope), companies shows. I was introduced into the Anglo-Saxon methods during a period where European spirit of creation was still in the mists of La nouvelle Vague. Thanks to this phase, I understand Hollywood efficiency precepts : speed, "backstage fighting spirit", "deadline" principle... Things are very usefull in cinematographic knowledge. In motion picture soundtrack creation, the custom is always to deliver the work wakefulness...

I finish this period exhausted, nervously and physically, but I became a fully professional sound designer which will allow me from now on to be not impress by any workload and project. Thanks to the Villa for all this. It is a big force today in all my enterprises.
